A recent study conducted by Moores UCSD Cancer Center in La Jolla, California showed that face-to-face, personalized weight loss counseling (such as we do here at PHC) is THE most effective means of weight management. Over the course of the study, women who experienced face-to-face counseling lost an average of over 16 pounds. Those who received weekly telephone contacts lost around 14 pounds. The third group who tried to “do it on their own” lost only 4 pounds on average.
Every PHC client receives an individualized analysis, food plan, and counseling sessions. Research is proving what we’ve known all along – we get the best results when we look the client in the eye at face-to-face visits!
